Imatinib mesylate, the chemical name 4 - (4 - methyl -1-- yl) methyl-N-4-methyl--3-4-- (3 - pyridyl) -2-- pyrimidine aminophenyl - aniline sulfonate, molecular formula C29H31N7O • CH4SO3, molecular weight is 589.7.
Imatinib mesylate in vivo at the cellular level can be inhibited Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase, can selectively inhibit Bcr-Abl-positive cell lines, Ph chromosome positive chronic myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia The patient's fresh cell proliferation and induced apoptosis.
