Copper sulfate pentahydrate is stable at ambient temperature and pressure, not deliquescent, in dry air will gradually weathering. Anhydrous also easily absorbing into copper sulfate pentahydrate. Constant use of copper sulfate pentahydrate this feature to test whether some of the liquid containing traces of organic compounds in water. The copper sulfate pentahydrate heated to 650 ℃ high temperature, can be decomposed into a black copper oxide, sulfur dioxide and oxygen.
