Benzoic acid,3,5-dihydroxy-, methyl ester , its cas register number 2150-44-9. It also can be called 3,5-Dihydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester ; Methyl 3,5-dihydroxybenzoate ; Methyl alpha-resorcylate ; alpha-Resorcinol carboxylic acid methyl ester ; and alpha-Resorcylic acid, methyl ester . Benzoic acid,3,5-dihydroxy-, methyl ester is not compatible with strong oxidizing agents, strong bases. Its hazardous decomposition products are carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
